The Earslaughterershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02212895653381929613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679256753829822948.post-87375533706035476272021-01-01T21:06:16.846+01:002021-01-01T21:06:16.846+01:00I actually considered adding English Dogs and Anih...I actually considered adding English Dogs and Anihilated (and even Cerebral Fix and Metal Duck) but I guess they were a bit too crossover/thrash-oriented. I love the two bands but they don't really have that crust vibe I was looking for while Ripcord were more of raw hardcore band really (to my ears anyway). In fact, even Concrete Sox almost didn't make the cut! But if I do another comp with a specifically 80's metallic punk scope, they will definitely be on there. I also love the Anihilated demo, with its anarcho sound.
As for Unseen Terror, I have to confess that I have never really been into them, but it is probably my loss.
Thanks for the encouragements! The Earslaughterershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02212895653381929613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679256753829822948.post-88002650453111365022021-01-01T18:11:34.256+01:002021-01-01T18:11:34.256+01:00Great compilation with a pretty comprehensive cove...Great compilation with a pretty comprehensive coverage of bands. It would have been good to have seen Unseen Terror in there. I knew before I saw the list of bands that there would be the ommission of three bands who I believe added and contributed to the cannon, so to speak: English Dogs (after Wakey), Ripcord and Anhilated all released stuff that contributed to what is called crust. Also, no Cerebal Fix. I'm a bit pissed now so if I dont make sense or haven't read hour peice properly, I did try. Anyway, great effort and keep the good work up. However Trev from Axegrinder remembered BW as the two bands had played together (if you pay attention BW are on AG's thank list on the Hiatus Lp). Apparently they were from the Scunthorpe area and were quite short-lived. The song is taken from a live recording on youtube but I don't think they recorded a demo and from the level of musicianship, I would venture that they were more on the metal side of things but I could be wrong.
Brilliant old-school crust to be sure. The Earslaughterershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02212895653381929613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679256753829822948.post-32218961517577279542020-12-28T21:17:52.242+01:002020-12-28T21:17:52.242+01:00This is so phenomenally good. I couldn't find a single thing about them anywhere else online, not in RYM, nothing else on your site, etc. TIA.dictsanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14273350137705252457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679256753829822948.post-19592177392103167522020-10-30T01:56:43.663+01:002020-10-30T01:56:43.663+01:00It's a very good setup list!
