I'm continually amazed at the depth of Japanese hardcore, and the many releases that don't circulate widely outside of Japan. <br /><br />Speaking of obscure comps and Beyond Description, that band (BD) has three excellent tracks on the I'll Weeds Grow Apace comp CD on Discrete Records (1993). The first two songs are similar to the one on this comp -- fast and energetic thrash with savage vocals, very little metal influence to be found, and each song about a minute and a half -- and the last song is more mid-paced and anthemic. Compared to the track on the comp you posted, these songs benefit from a sharper production and mix, with the drums sounding particularly excellent (great pop to the snare).
